Celebrating 30 years of community, connection, and independence 💙
The Downey Kiwanis Club was proud to take part in the 30th Anniversary of The Arc Walk for Independence, with platinum support from the Downey Kiwanis Foundation. Our members showed up in full force to support a cause that has meant so much to our club for decades.
It was especially heartwarming to reconnect with some of the same clients who participated in the very first Walk over 30 years ago what a beautiful reminder of the lasting impact of this incredible community.
The bond between Downey Kiwanis and The Arc LA/OC runs deep, and we’re honored to continue walking side by side in support of inclusion, empowerment, and independence for all.
We had an inspiring Downey Kiwanis Noon meeting this week! 🙌 A big thank you to Kristy Armas and Marlena Martin from Union Rescue Mission for sharing the incredible impact they’re making in our community—bringing hope, support, and transformation to those who need it most. 💙 We also had the pleasure of learning more about the Woman of Achievement Pageant, a program that uplifts and empowers women to grow in confidence, leadership, and purpose. 👑✨ Grateful for meaningful conversations, powerful stories, and the opportunity to serve together. #Kiwanis#DowneyKiwanis#ServiceAboveSelf#CommunityImpact#UnionRescueMission WomenOfAchievement Leadership ServeOthers ...
