The Downey Kiwanis Club is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects. Our club has been in service to our community for 99 years. We are part of Kiwanis International, an organization serving children in local communities throughout the world for over 100 years.
Kiwanis members are a mosaic of ordinary people doing extraordinary things to uplift our community and serve children around the world.
Kiwanis helps kids around the world. Our Kiwanis club looks out for our community and the Kiwanis international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty. Our Kiwanis club is generous with its time. We are creative with our ideas. We are passionate about making a difference. And we have fun along the way!
For more than a century, Kiwanis has created opportunities for children to be curious, safe and healthy regardless of the community in which they live. When you give a child the chance to learn, experience, dream, grow, succeed and thrive, great things can happen.

Our guests shared powerful perspectives on recovery, resilience, and the life-changing impact that compassionate care and violence-prevention efforts can have on individuals, families, and our community. Their message was a great reminder that sometimes the simplest act—sharing a little kindness—can make a meaningful difference. ❤️
